Samantha, how did you come up with this concept, idea and how did you put it all together for your website launch on November 1st, 2026?
Great question. I started online university last fall. The idea came during COVID when everything moved online. Since then it grew in my mind, but I didn’t know how to start. I tried planning a business before, but it felt empty and I couldn’t commit. Today I decided to just begin somewhere.
What is Lets Hang Friend about — let me like if you first met me and I didn’t yet hear about it!??
“Lets Hang Friend helps you meet new people and deepen existing friendships. Join our Friday events to connect with creative, authentic folks nearby and farther away. It’s open to anyone who wants to create, connect, and grow socially and personally.”
What kind of events and gatherings are there?
“The events range from playing beach volleyball to going rock climbing, offering a variety of outdoor and active options for different interests and fitness levels. Some gatherings include guest speakers and are paired with food and beverages, making them more social, informative, and relaxed. Other events focus on seasonal fun and holiday cheer, while a much more private, low-key side of our calendar features quieter options such as coffee dates and casual social lunches.
Whereas our gatherings take place entirely online and include a variety of activities—from multiplayer games and occasional giveaways to relaxed sessions meant for getting to know the person who shares your room (through Zoom).
How old can I be to apply to your gatherings and events?
You can be anywhere from your 20s or 30s through your late 50s or early 60s to apply — we’ll welcome and support you every step of the way!
Where can I be located to apply?
You can be anywhere in the world with internet access and be willing to join our gatherings online! While everyone is welcome, we especially encourage local people to take part in our events — they get priority and first dibs on spots.
